Areas of Research
My goals are directed toward understanding the antimicrobial and immunomodulatory capacity of endogenous cathelicidin and defensin peptides secreted in response to infectious diseases, including their effectiveness controlling pathogens and regulatory mechanisms in the mucosal innate immunity.
