The Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases has 6 research groups.
The Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases has 6 research groups.
The Airways Inflammation Group at the University of Calgary in the Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases is involved in numerous research areas targeting aspects of Asthma and COPD for which current therapies are less than ideal.
The Bacterial Pathogenesis Research Group (BPRG) is a research and educational group in the Emerging Infectious Disease theme of the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation. The BPRG is comprised of scientists whose teams work to understand molecular mechanisms of bacterial diseases and develop vaccines or therapeutic targets for disease intervention.
The vision of the IRG research group is to enrich society through discoveries in immunology. Our goal is to create a vigorous and dynamic research community that provides outstanding training to the next generation of immunology researchers.
The Inflammation Research Network (IRN) is a group of basic and clinical investigators, located at the University of Calgary, within the Cumming School of Medicine and the Faculty of Science. The group spans a number of disciplines and covers all aspects of molecular to clinical research, all with a common focus on inflammatory disease.
The Precision Medicine in Nephrology Research Program (PMNP) is comprised of researchers and clinicians at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine who share common interests in understanding the molecular and genetic mechanisms of kidney disease to define disease specific biomarkers, develop advanced diagnostic testing and targeted treatments for patients with kidney disease.
The Gastrointestinal Research Group (GIRG) is a multi-disciplinary group comprised of 28 full and 7 associate faculty members from a variety of basic science and clincal departments, which include the Department of Microbiology, Immonology& Infectious Diseases, Physiology & Parmacology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Medicine, Community Health Sciences, Pediatrics, Surgery and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
