Research and teaching
My research is mainly in the field of airways diseases with a focus on COPD and asthma. I participate in pharmaceutical trials as site principle investigator for asthma, COPD and bronchiectasis trials as well as playing an active role in a large COPD pan-Canadian cohort study (CanCOLD) that has recently been awarded a CIHR grant. I have also carried our smaller clinically oriented research studies (many as the supervisor for residents or medical students) including examining interventions in inhaler technique education for patients as well as in examining virtual care.
