Online Courses available to CBEPS applicants
In response to the current COVID-19 situation, the Department of Geomatics Engineering at the University of Calgary will offer the Fall 2020 courses remotely with limited or no in-person activities. The following courses are open to individuals preparing for the Canadian Board of Examiners for Professional Surveyors (CBEPS) accreditation. The courses are listed per CBEPS core and elective subjects and will be delivered remotely unless stated differently.
C3 Advanced Surveying
- ENGO 443: Geodetic and Engineering Surveys [this course requires in-person activities at the UofC campus]

- ENGO 579: Survey Law [this course requires in-person activities at the UofC campus]
C12: Hydrographic Surveying

E1: Spatial Databases and LIS
- ENGO 451: Design and Implementation of GIS
E5: Advanced Photogrammetry
- ENGO 531: Advanced Photogrammetric and Ranging Techniques
CBEPS applicants are invited to express their interest via email at geomatics@ucalgary.ca (Subject line: Fall 2020 - CBEPS course registration) by 21 August 2020 (early requests encouraged). Information that will help the department understand the fulfillment of required prerequisites per course must be attached.
